From May 22th to October 15th, IT’S ART will be organizing a contest called “We Humans.” In either 2D or 3D, you must try to describe what sort of situation, real or imaginary, these few words can inspire you to create.
The best submissions will also be featured in a special dedicated book and/or in an IT’S ART Issue.

After the success of the previous editions, 3DTotal has begun calling for submission for its third “Digital Art Masters” book. The CGSociety has just launched a new competition with over $22,000 of prizes. It is a short competition for images only.
This competition celebrates the very essence of the creativity that defines digital art: the ability to create artistically and technically excellent images of things that are impossible in the real world.
The competition started yesterday, October 25th, and closes on January 7th.
1st Prize: 2 x NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 cards and 1 week ‘all inclusive’ holiday valued at $10,000 (USD).

The people at 3DM3.com have just started a new challenge. You have to create an image that would illustrate an imaginary city view after instant evacuation (because of an explosion of a nuclear reactor), results of nature elements and mutations ruling the city for several years if you want to take part in the competition. You are free to use choose any CG mean to create an image in terms of the next three competition categories:
