Vincenzo Leombruno, a good friend of mine, has pointed me to his latest creation: a new layer manager for Autodesk Maya, called ‘Hierarchic DisplayLayer Manager’. HDL is a Display Layer Manager, similar to Photoshop’s. You can create containers to organize and manage groups of displayLayers, using drag and drop. Very useful for those who use to end up with a bunch of layers!
Go on and test it before Autodesk realizes that this should be included inside Maya! Click on the image to go to highend3d or download HDL from here.

fryrender vBeta1.9 is out!!!
This is probably the most awaited version of fryrender up to date. The main reason for that is that vBeta1.9 is fully 64-bit ready, meaning that it’s more production-ready than ever.
The most remarkable implication of the 64-bit port is that all the RAM available to your 64-bit CPU/OS will be available to fryrender.
