The CGPortfolio of Linda Bergkvist has been voted as the most popular online gallery space in the CGPortfolio Poll. She won 298 votes and to date her CGPortfolio has been viewed over 986,000 times. The Poll was staged as part of the 100,000th image upload milestone. Linda’s gallery was selected out of 100 CGPortfolios with the most visits.
This is a digital mattepainting for the MattePainting Challenge on CgTalk, created by Sorin Bechira. The challenge was to show the museum in a future destroyed world. A plate was provided and the contest had 3 major steps: cleaning the plate, make a set extension about 50% bigger than the provided plate and finally the mattepaint.

Well, I`m 41 years old living near Hamburg in Germany and I started to work with airbrush in the very late 80`s. At that time I was a young guy and I was very curious. After buying an equipment like brushes, compressor and some airbrushes I did my first experiences. But at this time it was very boring and I throw everything for 1 year in the corner. I had to prepare for the entrance examination of a graphic design studies. At this time I was very lucky to find a magazine called: airbrush-Zeitung. There I could not believe my eyes what some good artists were able to do with the airbrush in combination with other techniques. That brought about a rebound.
